The Voice of San Diego Podcast

VOSD’s Friday roundup of the past week’s news in brief, featuring interviews with special guests and more.

Jun 11, 2011

On June 1, six gurus illuminated arts and culture topics in San Diego and shared what's making them stick in a visual, rapid-fire presentation style called pecha-kucha. Each presenter had 20 slides, displayed for 20 seconds each, to share their topic. The standing-room-only event was at the Kettner Daylight Studio in Little Italy, which we presented in partnership with Media Arts Center San Diego and Sezio.

Jennifer Luce is a well-regarded architect at Luce et Studio. She'll talked about the burgeoning contemporary furniture design scene in San Diego. In my chat with her a couple of years ago, she said despite living in San Diego for a couple of decades, she still tries to think like a foreigner, not yet like a local.
