Bob Filner has promised that you'll see a different him if he's elected mayor. The scrappy, bombastic and populist fighter will give way to a reasoned and measured leader for all. That was his message in Liam Dillon's profile last week, and at least one person says he buys it: political consultant Tom Shepard. The odd couple made a big splash last week, and we broke it down on the latest edition of VOSD Radio. Plus, we have some Hero-of-the-Week controversy. The Museum of Art won the award for standing up for its involvement in the U.S. attorney hoax. Then it started to back away from that involvement. So consider its award up for review. The Goat of the Week, meanwhile, went to John Moores for the sad state in which he leaves the Padres for the next owner.
